(Combined effort to cut the Miracle/Hope Cake)
Further, no disability was an excuse for these Miracle Kids. They all put all their efforts into the game and helped each other to be as successful as possible.
"I had no idea that blind kids could play baseball", says Helena Nyman. With help of a beep tone, blind kids were able to make out the balls. One of the biggest gifts the Hope Team received that day was that they were invited to be out in the field as 'Buddies' with these precious kids.
A special 'Thank you' to Karen Pusey, Lori Guthrie, the Coach, the parents and all the wonderful kids for making this day so special for the Hope Team!
The Miracle League is currently fundraising to build a Boundless Playground, which provides a safe recreational opportunity for children with disabilities. The playground will be located on the same site of the ML field. The Playground can develop essential skills for life as they learn to play together. A Boundless Playground is a wonderful way to bring kids together, to eliminate bias, and to provide another opportunity for inclusion and fun.
