The Hope Bus: 10/9/09 Visual Arts Center

The Hope Bus is visiting the Visual Arts Center on 1812 W. Main Street in Richmond, VA to honor the Senior Angels and to give out two Hope Tour Awards - the Gold Star to Jackie Davis for her Volunteer work with the Senior Angels and for her support of the Hope Tour. The second Special Award is for the Bank of Virginia as a recognition for all the Community Supoort and the special support for the Senior Angels during Thanks-Giving and Christmas.

A special Thank you goes to Jo Kennedy and the Visual Arts Center Team for hosting the Hope Bus for the Award Ceremony, and for making this Event very special.

Lillian Lambert, the first black female Harvard MBA and author of her forthcoming memoir, The Road to Someplace Better; journalist, best-selling author and nonprofit champion Stacy Hawkins Adams, whose sixth novel 'Dreams That Won’t Let Go' will be published in January, Gloria Thomas, former President of NSA Virginia, Speaker and President of Wizard Inc. Workforce Development, Danceer Darrell McClusky who inspired the audience with a flavor of his creative dance.

I would like to applaud Lillian Lambert and Stacy Hawkins Adams who both traveled to New York for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Inaugural Hope Tour at the Ronald McDonald House in New York on September 21st and supported the Hope Tour with their presence and their voice. Lillian Lambert got a taste on how the Hope Team travels by joining the Team on the trip from New York City to Dobbs Ferry, NY and to Boston, MA where she joined the Hope Bus for all 5 events.
